🔧 Operations Team

Are you good at organizing events, handling equipment, or managing logistics?

  • Trailer and Equipment Crew: Load/unload and maintain the trailer and music equipment. A 2-ton truck is required to pull the band trailers.
  • Props Crew: Construct props before season, load/unload, and setup/teardown for competitions.
  • Uniform Team: Fit, repair, check-in/out, and maintain marching band uniforms.
  • Tailgate & Water Team: Organize meals and water for games, competitions, and parades.
  • Hospitality Team: Set up food for judges, receptions, snacks at events.
  • Senior Parent Team: Plan Senior Night, banners, dinners, gifts for Senior students.
  • Mentor Team: Welcome new music parents, answer questions, and encourage involvement.
  • Audit Committee: Review the treasurer’s books each year (appointed).

  • Ways and Means Team: Create fundraising ideas, get approval, and run them.
  • Concessions Crew: Help run concession stands at events.
  • Evening of Jazz Team: Plan and run the annual Evening of Jazz fundraiser.
  • Special Projects: Help with extra events or special projects as they arise!

Are you good at writing, promoting, tech, or design?

  • Communications Team: Manage emails, website, and announcements.
  • Awards & Recognitions Team: Celebrate student achievements with posters, treats, and social media!
  • Membership Team: Recruit and welcome new members, maintain rosters.

Preparation and Kick-off

    MPA supports uniform fittings for all band students, from seniors through freshmen, across several fitting days.
